N26 Experience for Last 3 Months
Just a quick post so prospective users can get an idea of N26 and whether or not it is worth joining up.
Context, Irish Based User , Not Paid by N26.
Setup: Simple less than 1 Hour , Verified using a Picture of passport, just ensure good lighting,
Card: Signed up for Metal as i travel a lot and needed the Insurance, card is epic, free card will suit most. note: card fees for Metal are significantly cheaper per month than Irish banking fees, ... so good for Irish customers, maybe not for our European colleagues.
App: Simple, Clean, user friendly, love the instant transaction notifications, sub accounts are well thought out.,
Account Support: No Input as i have not needed to use it.
Making Primary Account: I have made it my primary account, no issues getting Irish company salary paid in, just use IBAN as vast majority of Irish pay systems just pull in the IBAN. No regrets so far.
Summary: N26 Makes huge sense for Irish based customers, quick, simple, user friendly, excellent for travel, worked flawlessly across Europe , America and Asia. MasterCard exchange rates far better than Irish bank rates. very quick to transfer money across Europe, money beam worked very well. Ability to control card security and withdraw limits in App is super handy. Apple Pay worked flawlessly.:
Improvements Required: N26 Need to open up credit lines in Ireland, Small Overdraft would be handy and some deposit spaces that pay something even ECB Rate, N26 Also need to open up investment sub spaces and link them to a set of Index Funds tracking major markets. Joint Account required for Families or couples.
Overall I would recommend moving to them. Score: 8.8/10
